Approaching the house via a long and sweeping driveway, your guests will be amazed by the beauty of Canonteign House, set amongst landscaped gardens and some of the most breathtaking scenery you will ever see.

Planning your Devon Wedding

The Fern Room is available for your civil wedding ceremony for numbers up to 55 guests followed by wonderful photographic opportunities in the formal gardens and parkland with extensive terraces for a champagne reception.

A short walk takes you down to the Covered Barn and Lakeside Marquee Site, both of which are situated overlooking the beautiful Lily Lake. A meandering path takes you to the base of Lady Exmouth Falls, providing romantic photographic opportunities. The Lily Lake can be floodlit on request.

Wedding Venue Hire

Fern Room - civil wedding ceremony in the Fern Room is £1250.00 with a wedding reception at either:-

Covered Barn - £1,250.00 for up to 150 guests
Lakeside Marquee Site - £1,250.00 for up to 250 guests

Please note the Covered Barn and Marquee Site at Canonteign Falls are not offered exclusively until Canonteign Falls closes at 5.30pm. Canonteign Falls is open to the public as a tourist attraction until 5.30pm from March through to October. The sites are therefore only available for exclusive use after closing time.

Extra Touches

Bar - we have a fully stocked and licensed bar that we can run for you. We are licensed until 11.30pm. Our two barmen are hired out together at £30.00 per hour.
Wine - We have a comprehensive wine list or your own wine can be brought in. We do not charge corkage
Fireworks - what better way to end a magical evening with a display of fireworks. Colours can coordinate with the theme of the day. Please speak to our wedding coordinator for details.

Bookings and deposits

To secure your date our booking form will need to be completed along with a non-refundable deposit for 50% of the venue hire charge. All our prices shown include VAT.
